Details
The Owon OWH9830 is a dual-channel power meter for three- and four-wire measurements, combining a three-phase AC input with a single-phase AC+DC channel. Channel 1 covers the three-phase AC main on lines A, B and C — 3V to 600V at up to 20A RMS per phase, with accuracy up to ±0.2%. Channel 2 covers AC+DC up to 1000V/20A, optimised for DC applications. This makes the meter well-suited for efficiency measurements on three-phase loads and DC links, with a customisable efficiency calculation built in.
The device measures voltage, current, active power (W), apparent power (VA), reactive power (var), power factor, frequency, crest factor, peak values and THD simultaneously, with harmonic analysis up to the 63rd order. Results appear on a 3.95-inch colour TFT in numeric, waveform or bar-graph mode at 0.1s–5s update rates. The integration function logs watt-hours and ampere-hours over time. Finally, an RS-232 interface handles remote control, and a USB host port saves measurements and screenshots to external storage for up to 72 hours of long-term recording.
