The GW Instek GPP-6030 is a programmable DC power supply with 3 channels with a total output power of 385W. The first two channels have an output voltage of 0-60V and an output current of 0-3A.
The third channel has an output voltage of 1.8/2.5/3.3/5V and an output current of 5A. Channel 3 also supports a USB output up to 5V, 3A.
The GPP-6030 has a high program resolution of 2mV/0.1mA, read back resolution of 0.1mV/0.1mA, and low-ripple noise of ≤ 1mVrms/≤ 2mArms.
An unique function of the GPP-6030 is the polarity reverse protection, through which the power supply is protected against reverse-connected batteries. The power supply has an internal circuit that allows the first two channels to be connected in series or parallel, without the need for additional wiring. The supply comes with standard protections like OVP, OCP, OTP, and OPP. OPP is only available in the load mode and the OVP, OCP, and OTP mechanics are implemented through hardware design for a faster response.
It has multiple display modes, including single or multi-channel setting values, measured values, and waveform displays. It is also possible to set conditions to protect the DUT by an audible alarm or by automatically switching off the power supply.
Furthermore, this power supply has an output recorder function, which can record the voltage/current to the internal memory, and the result can be stored as a REC or a CSV file.
Electronic load
The GW Instek GPP-6030 has a load function that allows CH1 and CH2 to be used as a load.
CH1 and CH2 can draw a combined max power of 50W. The load can function in CV, CC, and CR mode.
Furthermore, the function of both channels can be chosen independently allowing for the use of 2 power supplies, 1 power supply & 1 load, or 2 loads.
The load function on the GPP-series cannot not automatically switch between load and powersupply.
