The Fotric TP320A is a thermal imaging camera for Android phones, meant for quick and basic thermal inspections. This thermal camera has a 320x240 resolution, which is noticeably higher than the 256x192 found in most smartphone thermal cameras. Moreover, this resolution can be upscaled to 640x480 using super resolution. Furthermore, the TP320A has a high sensitivity with an NETD of <35mK and a wide 60°x45° field of view, capturing more of an installation in a single frame.
The camera operates in a temperature range of -20 to 550°C with an accuracy of ±2°C or ±2%, and analyses up to 3 spots, 3 lines and 3 boxes at a time across 10 colour palettes. Unlike most phone modules, the TP320A is supplied as a complete kit with a handle tripod, extension rod, magnetic base, ball head mounts and a phone holder, which makes hands-free and remote measurements possible out of the box. The camera is operated through the free Fotric GENIE app from the Google Play Store. Finally, note that the TP320A works with Android 12 and later only. There is no macro lens available for this model, making it less suited to close-up PCB work.
