The Weller FT 12 solder fume extractor is a maintenance-free compressed air converter with a 6 bar capacity. Designed with industrial use in mind, it is suitable for permanent operation, but it is still compact and light enough to be portable. 2 soldering workstations can be connected at once. Operating at full capacity, the fume extractor has max. blower vacuum of 20kPa with a max. airflow of 1.62m3/h.
Featuring a 3-stage filter system, this product is capable of filtering out both soldering fumes and compressed air odours. The system uses a F7 fine dust filter combined a H13 wide band gas filter (with 50% activated carbon; 50% Puratex) located in the main filter cartridge and another air filter (with activated carbon) on the exhaust. Both filter elements are disposable, where the fine dust filter (prefilter) can be changed multiple times separately.
Take note that this is a passive product that only functions as a filter and requires a compressor (providing 6 bar) to operate. However, as the (noisy) compressor does not need to be in the same environment as this solder fume extractor, the filter process itself is very quiet.
