UNI-T UPO2104E oscilloscope

The UNI-T UPO2104E is a 4-channel oscilloscope for high performance and is a direct successor to the UPO2104CS. Compared to its predecessor, a number of specifications have been changed, for example the 2104E has a memory depth of 56 Mpts and the waveform capture rate has been increased to 80,000 wfms/s. What makes this scope really unique is that it can use a separate time base per channel. Furthermore, the scope has a large number of functions and the trigger options have been drastically expanded.

The UPO2104E also comes with a USB interface for storing signals and measurement results. Thanks to its large 8" LCD screen and low noise floor, the scope displays all signals in great detail. The oscilloscope also has a 256-level intensity grading display, which is a nice feature for oscilloscopes in this price range. By means of this technique, multiple signals are placed on top of each other to show the most common signals with more intensity. In addition, the oscilloscope also offers color temperature indication to show more clearly how often values occur in a signal.

All in all, this oscilloscope gives a lot of value for money, with a price comparable to a Rigol DS1054Z but as far as specifications are concerned can certainly compete with a Siglent SDS1104X-E. This oscilloscope is therefore a worthy competitor in the sector of budget 4-channel oscilloscopes and can compete with the highly successful models such as those of Siglent and Rigol. The big advantage compared to the models mentioned above is that the UPO2104E has an 8" screen, while the other models 'only' have a 7" screen. The 2104E also has a memory depth that is twice as large as the DS1054Z and the SDS1104X-E.
