The Tekbox TBMDA-CDN25 modulated power amplifier is used in EMC pre-compliance testing to generate high-power and modulated signals for subjecting electronic devices or systems to various electromagnetic disturbances. The TBMDA-CDN25 is used for conducted immunity testing using CDNs and BCI probes. It features a 1 dB compression point of up to 25 W, which provides reliable performance within the frequency range of 100 kHz to 250 MHz. Moreover, this amplifier is designed to be compatible with signal generators, tracking generators, and spectrum analyzers.
The TBMDA-CDN25 has sufficient gain to achieve maximum output power with 0 dBm provided by a spectrum analyzer or tracking generator. To simulate mobile phone TDMA noise, the amplifier is capable of generating a 217 Hz signal with a duty cycle of 12.5% when operating in PM mode.
To ensure the protection of the output stage, it is strongly advised to use a ≥ 3dB attenuator at the amplifier's output when driving near field probes, current probes, or any load with unknown impedance.
