JBC PHXLE-2KA IR preheater set extra large

The JBC PHXLE-2KA IR preheater set is, as suggested by its name, intended to preheat PCBs or components. This is a complete set consisting of the PHXE IR preheater and console, PHXL-SA preheater support, several PH218 Thermocouples type K and Kapton tape.

The main function of a preheater is to reduce the thermal shock that can be caused by direct (de)soldering. The PHXLE-2KA thus acts as a secondary heat source and is designed for very large PCBs. As you are used to from JBC, this set is also of the highest quality. For example, 3 standard temperature profiles have already been installed and 22 custom temperature profiles can be designed and used. These custom profiles can be set with 6 steps in temperature. The preheater features two independently controllable zones with working areas of 510 x 200 mm and 510 x 410 mm. The temperature can be set between 50 ℃ and 250 ℃, and can be measured very accurately through a thermocouple. There are 8 type-K ports available to measure the temperature on different surfaces or components.

The PHXL-SA preheater support can also be used separately from the preheater as an aid during soldering and desoldering. The Kapton tape comes in handy when attaching the thermocouple to the circuit board or component. By means of the various interfaces, the preheater can for example be connected to the JBC traceability system or a pedal. The console can be used to monitor and control the temperature and is equipped with a USB port.
