LibreVNA 2 ports full VNA 100kHz - 6GHz reviews

I decided to try it and I am very satisfied. I am working 200 - 1500Mhz and it is very comfortable in that range. I find the 2-port structure a big advantage over the SV4401A. I have managed to get a Python script to use SCPI control for time gated measurement which is very powerful. It gets hot but it doesn't drift much and when it stabilises it is very repeatable. I typically use 4 averages at 1kHz and the trace noise is negligible. It resolves picoseconds. The GUI is not as user friendly as it might be but it works, it is stable, and you get used to it. In all marvellous value. I tried to purchase the electronic calibration accessory after having good experience with the VNA and Eleshop rejected my order as not meeting their minimum order value!! Great VNA, much better than the NanoVNA types. Much faster, higher dynamic range and higher frequency range. And true dual port. Also the designer of the hardware and the software is very responsive. The only downside is that the unit gets quite hot. I run it from a 5V/2A USB power adapter. Too bad it is not included in the package.
The PC software is very capable but it does take some time to figure out how to use it. It is not always as intuitive as hoped for. But support from Jan is excellent. And the hard- and software is completely open source, so you can modify it to your needs.
