Initially the price of this unit seemed a bit high so we first went with the Aoyue FEK-01 instead.
Big mistake.
First unit died in a month and the second wasnt much better. Eleshop support was great, sent a replacement, and then a refund when the second one failed too.
After that we decided to go for the Eleshop FE1W and had a much better experience. The flow is better, its quieter and the filering is better. And most importantly, after 8 months of continous use (4-6h per day) its still running as good as the day it arrived.
We also got the 2 tube top plate option which I recommend. The device can handle 2 tubes. I only wish there was an option to get it with 2 tubes as standard (and that the color would match)
Dont expect miracles. With 2 people continously soldering in a small room it still gets a bit stuffy. But if you are used to the little crappy desk fan filters this is in a completely different league.
But functionallity wise, very happy with my purchase. Im getting an ESD one next and hopefully that performs the same.
