The Atten ST-7500 is a ESD-safe preheater. This device heats up fast due to the 400W of power and the infrared ceramic heater with very high efficiency. The heating area is 12x12cm making it sufficient for most preheating jobs, and can reach temperatures up to 500°C. An internal closed-loop temperature sensor ensures that the temperature remains constant and accurate. With an external K-type thermocouple you can easily measure the temperature of the PCB. Moreover, the preheater has an OLED display, showing operating temperatures, and a quick selection of set presents.
The preheater is ideal for reworking PCBs. It can even be used for heavy copper ground plates, PCBs that are multilayered or that contain solder alloys that need some extra heat. There is a stainless steel net on top of the plate to place the PCBs on. Finally, the ST-7500 has several connecting capabilities, it can be connected to other devices via RS485 for example. Overall the Atten ST-7500 is a great pick for rework on 'smaller' components.
The Atten 7500 has a PCB holder custom-made for this pre-heater, you can find the holder on this page. This holder is exclusively for the ST-7500.
The atten ST-7500 is a true preheater, whereas the ST-7800 is technically a hot plate which can function as preheater
