The UT505A from UNI-T is an insulation tester intended for measuring insulation resistances, AC/DC voltages and more. The meter can measure large resistances and display them on the 6,000-count screen. In addition, the meter can measure insulation for 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V and 1000V. This makes it possible to measure from 0.01MΩ to 20GΩ. In addition, AC/DC voltages can be measured up to 600 volts. As an extra functionality, the 505A can also measure DAR ('dielectric' absorption ratio), from which it can be assessed whether the insulation is in good condition.
