The UNI-T UT25CL cable locator is a device consisting of a transmitter and receiver. The device operates at a frequency of 33kHz, detects voltages from 8 to 480V, and has a tracing depth of 0 to 2.5 meters in unipolar mode and 0 to 0.4 meters in bipolar mode. The cable locator can find wires and interruptions inside walls. Furthermore, the UT25CL can trace underground cables, locate fuses, detect low voltage wires (short circuits; open circuits), trace metal pipes and identify AC/DC polarity. Both the transmitter and receiver have a built-in torch and a backlit LCD. The receiver is capable of operating with up to 8 transmitters.
