The EA-PS 3080-04 C lab power supply from Elektro-Automatik belongs to the EA-PS 3000 C series and features an output power of 320W. This power supply has an output voltage of 0-200V and an output current of 0-4A.
EA's lab power supplies are microcontroller controlled digital power supplies with good functionality. These relatively inexpensive power supplies offer flexible "auto-ranging". This allows them to offer either a high current or a high voltage within the power offered. There is a picture of this in the images above. The power supplies indicate when it is operating in CC (constant current), CV (constant voltage) or CP (constant power) mode. In addition, the lab power supplies contain an LCD display with an accurate indication of the current current and voltage in 4 digits.
The power supplies offer overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, overpower protection and over temperature protection. Also, the power supplies can be managed through remote sensing which if connected directly to the load detects voltage drops from the input and automatically adjusts the output voltage so that an accurate required voltage is achieved. This makes the EA-PS 3000 C series very comprehensive and reliable.
