The JBC C245 series soldering tips offers a very wide range of tips, of which a short overview is made below.

These C245 soldering tips are suitable for the JBC LCB soldering station and the JBC CD-2BQF soldering station, 130 Watt with a T245 soldering iron.

Depending on your purpose, the right tip can simplify the soldering process. For SMD soldering a fine tip is suitable, but to heat larger surfaces a wider tip is necessary. We can supply all tips from the JBC catalogue. If the tip you wish does not appear on this page, please let us know and we will add it for you.

JBC soldering tips have a long life span, and thanks to the JBC heating system they last up to 5 times longer than tips from competing brands.

You can select the type of tip you want to buy in the top right corner. The different models are described below. Some models have a longer marker to make it easier to get to tips that are more difficult to reach. This is indicated in the row of connection pieces with normal length and longer lengths, where normal means that there is no length addition and longer has a 20 mm longer pin.

A tip marked HT is one with high thermal capacity, it heats up more slowly but can also transfer more energy to the solder surface.

A tip marked TS is one with an extra tinned surface.

A tip marked RTS is one with a reduced tinned surface, ideal for touching up.

A tip with name ending on E is one with a thicker iron layer, ideal for though and repetitive works in mass production. The thicker layer reduces thermal efficiency.

Perfect
This time I've got C245029 and C245102

They both work as any other JBC Active tip. Super fast and dynamic.

Word of warning I use tips as I see fit. If it works for me I use it that way. Sure I will see what other people do and what is trendy and will try it as well but if something else works for me better I will use the tip way it fits me.

For me C245029 is a microtip. Finest I need for now. To go smaller you have to go with T210 option anyways. With T210 you will limit the power as well.This one is simply enough for me. Very fine and very usable. Enabled me to fix one PCB with loose traces. That PCB was standing still for 6 months and now I was able to fix it with no issues. Lay it flat and you will be able to transfer more energy when needed. Very usable tip.

C245102 is a useful tip. You can use it as general tip but I've got it to be able to wick smaller surfaces with it. Works as I though it will. Heats up fast and has enough energy to ensure good transfer of heat. And as always, move wick and tip as one and use lowest working temperature not to unglue the traces and pads off the PCB.
