Details

The Siglent SDG805 function generator has a bandwidth of 5 MHz.

The Siglent SDG800 series function generators feature a 3.5” LCD screen and are capable of generating a large variety of functions due to the 14 bits D/A converter. Apart from 5 standard functions, 46 other non-standard functions are pre-installed. Arbitrary waveforms can easily be stored via USB using a PC. There are 10 memory slots available to easily store and recall these functions.

Furthermore, the SDG800 series models offer various modulation options such as AM, DSB-AM, FM, PM, FSK, ASK, PWM, Sweep, and Burst.

The generators have two USB ports, one at the front and one at the back, for various Host/Device applications. With the supplied software, signals can be generated easily.

The SIGLENT SDG 805 function generator can be considered an option for an early-stage electronics engineer and more. I can recommend this signal generator to anyone passionate about electronics or technician in the field of service or even in the field of research. One problem is the rotary encoder button coming out of the socket for faster use. I think that a freqvency counter could have been integrated in this money. I don't understand why the people from Siglent didn't give a push button function to the rotary encoder, it is functional but it doesn't help in navigating through the user interface. The construction is robust and relatively elegant, the working interface is very intuitive and the accommodation with the generator is very fast. I recommend this equipment to those looking for a signal generator with a good value for money.
