Siglent SDG7102A function generator

The Siglent SDG7102A is a high-end arbitrary function generator that comes with 2 channels and a maximum bandwidth of 1 GHz. The function generator, which belongs to the Siglent SDG7000A series, can provide continuous signals with a maximum sample rate of up to 5 GSa/s. Arbitrary signals have a maximum sample rate of 2.5 GSa/s and a length of up to 512 Mpts. These signals can be set via the 5" touch screen display, which also allows for an external mouse and keyboard to be connected. In addition, the SDG7102A supports the WebServer control, which allows the generator to be controlled from a PC through a LAN connection. Finally, it is possible to control the function generator via SCPI, which makes it easier to integrate it into your test setup.

The versatility of the SDG7000A series is evident in its ability to generate multiple types of signals, such as:

• Continuous signals
• True Arb arbitrary signals
• Pulse
• Noise
• PRBS patterns
• I/Q vector signals (optional)

Thanks to the high output voltage of up to 48V_pp (when using both channels), which can also be generated at high frequencies, the use of an external amplifier is no longer necessary. In addition, this high-end function generator offers extended 2-channel functionalities such as waveform track & coupling, waveform combining and channel modulation.
The "EasyPulse" technique offers a solution to many problems that often occur when DDS generators have to reproduce a square wave. If the frequency of the square wave is not a direct multiplication of the clock speed of the generator, a "jitter" forms that affects the signal. EasyPulse prevents this effect. Also, the SDG7000A function generators are equipped with True ARB technology.

True Arb With TrueArb, the function generator generates a signal point by point. As a result, each data point is treated individually which reduces the jitter and error rate. This provides a very good representation of the stored waveform.
