The Owon VDS1022I oscilloscope is the 25 Mhz version in the VDS series of Owon. The scopes in the Owon VDS series are USB scopes intended for usage with a computer. These scopes are USB powered and very thin, due to this, they can easily taken with, and used on the go. Since the VDS scopes lack a screen they are priced lower than other scopes with the same specifications. This makes the VDS series a nice option if mobility and price/performance is a key requirement. The scopes have an isolated USB connection, which safeguards the computer from any over currents or over voltages. The multi channel can be used for triggering in and outputs, and for Pass/Fail output.
The VDS can, amongst others, calculate FFT, X-Y, Vpp, overshoot and it has various trigger methods.
The PC software supports a large variety of functions such as dual-view. A lot of mathematical expressions can be done, such as adding, subtracting, divisions, multiplications. The software can be downloaded and tested without the scope. So for any questions about functionality or the usability of the software, it can be downloaded for free here to try it out.
