Korad KA6005PS power supply safety connectors

The product image shows the screw connector version of this power supply. This model is identical, but has safety connectors.

The KA6005PS is a premium programmable DC power supply from Korad, and is suitable for all bench powering tasks in product development, education and repair. Furthermore, this supply is the improved version of the KA6005P, adding a separate power display, a current readback resolution down to 0.1mA below 1A, and a quieter temperature-controlled fan.

This supply delivers up to 60V and 5A for 300W of total power, and sets voltage and current with 10mV and 1mA resolution. The output has a dedicated on/off switch, four memory presets store and recall settings, and overvoltage, overcurrent, reverse polarity and short circuit protection are included. A USB and RS232 connection allows remote control through the supplied software.

Model overview

The two models differ only in the output connectors on the front. This model has shrouded 4mm safety connectors that prevent accidental contact with live terminals, which makes it well suited to education and training environments. A version with screw connectors, which also accept bare wires, is listed in the model overview above.
