JBC DMSE-2QD (de-)soldering station

JBC's DMSE-2QD is an all-in-one station for solder and rework applications. This set has a vacuum pump, a soldering and desoldering station, and the corresponding handles and holders for these applications.

Soldering

The control station, called DME, provides connections for four soldering tools that can be operated and used simultaneously. An output of 160 Watts is available for all tools. Almost all JBC soldering and desoldering irons can be connected to this station. The relatively large colour screen makes it easy to manage temperatures and settings. In addition, the DME has an extensive menu in which various user settings can easily be adjusted. It is possible to link settings to specific tools, so the drive automatically sets the desired properties when connecting a soldering iron. The station also offers detailed real-time graphs showing temperature and power. These graphs can easily be saved to a USB stick connected to the front of the drive. In addition, a USB connection can be found at the back to control the drive from a computer. The soldering iron that comes with this drive is a T245-A bolt. This slim bolt offers a comfortable grip and weighs only 66 grams. This makes it easy to use. One of the advantages of JBC is that it offers points for every application. The points of these bolts are active, which results in better heat transfer.

Desoldering

For desoldering, the DMSE has a vacuum pump type MSE-B. This delivers a suction of 35 SLPM. This, together with the DME station, is connected to a DR560-A desoldering unit. Several points are available for this iron, starting from a diameter of 0.6 mm. This is ideal for desoldering components of SMD format.

Stands

This soldering station has the corresponding holders and stands for all these applications. These stands are equipped with various functions, such as automatically switching off, which increases the life span of the tip considerably. In addition, they have holders in which hot tips can be exchanged. As a result, waiting until the tip is cold before it can be exchanged is no longer necessary.

The default 2-year warranty can be extended to 3 years by registering your device.
