The EFM51 walking test kit includes a pocket-sized handheld electrostatic field meter with a base and hand electrode. The handheld electrode detects and measures the electrostatic discharge of a person walking across an ESD floor to verify that current ESD protection is adequate.
Like other EFM51 models, it also detects and measures ES fields, potentials and the discharge time of objects in conjunction with the base electrode. In addition, the product can measure static voltages up to ±800kV.
Features automatic field to voltage conversion (V/m to V) depending on the selected distance.
EFM51 series models differ in function.
