The EFM51 is a handheld pocket-sized electrostatic field meter with a rotating chopper. It detects and measures ES fields, potentials and the discharge time of objects. Capable of measuring static voltages up to ±800kV, this product enables you to check whether or not current ESD protection is sufficient.
The chopper is a multibladed propeller rotating at a high rate over the measurement aperture, causing the DC electric field to be converted to an AC-type signal. This results in a higher sensitivity measurement than with a tuning-fork chopper.
Features an automatic field to voltage conversion (V/m to V), according to the selected distance.
The EFM51 series models differ in their functions.
