Details

The Siglent SDG1032X function generator has a bandwidth of 30MHz.

The new SDG1000X series dual-channel function/arbitrary waveform generators offer a high bandwidth and broad amplitude ranges. The vertical resolution and EasyPulse technique offer high accuracy in the output wave. The devices are capable of generating low jitter, high fidelity waveforms up to high frequencies.

The EasyPulse technology offers a solution for a problem common in DDS generators when generating square waves. If the frequency of the signal is not an integer multiple of the clock frequency a jitter occurs in the signal, resulting in an impure signal. EasyPulse solves this problem by eliminating the jitter. The generators support both sinusoidal and square wave signals up to the bandwidth, which is not common in function generators. The SDG1000x function generators are also equipped with True ARB technology.

True Arb With TrueArb, the function generator generates a signal point by point. This allows each data point to be treated individually, reducing the jitter and error rate. This provides a very good representation of the stored waveform.

Overall it's a nice, compact unit. The specs are really good, especially for the price. Main selection knob feels great! Shame they didn't use one like that on the SDS1104X-E. However the UI is not very intuitive - it takes a bit of guessing and fiddling to find all of the features. For example, there are loads and loads of built-in waveforms (window functions, ECGs, trig, log, etc), but you have to press 5 buttons to even find them and it's not obvious at all.

One of the main reasons I picked a Siglent is because I have a Siglent 'scope. You can connect them together over USB/LAN and really easily do bode plots. Works very well! Wish I could directly transfer captured waveforms to the generator though...

Other criticisms is that you can't see the settings for both outputs at the same time (just waveform &on/off). A mode to show both at once would be super useful. Also the fan runs constantly and is quite a bit louder than the SDS 1104X-E.

Excellent build quality: Solid chassis, good quality of plastics and rubbers. Precise keys, return stable feedback, fonts and characters are clearly legible, adequately large and defined screen. The compact form factor and the possibility of stacking multiple Siglent instruments are interesting.

Well structured user interface, intuitive to use, with just the right amount of settings. In the menus there is already a great variety of periodic signals and not to be used immediately.

Also convenient is the possibility of setting the output impedance to 50 Ohm or high, so as to avoid problems with reflectometry in the cables. The instrument can be controlled remotely via USB and LAN. With the included software you can draw any kind of arbitrary signal.

The vertical resolution is 14 bits or 16'384 points. The sampling frequency is equal to 150 Ms / s i.e. 150 million samples every second, the maximum settable frequency is equal to 30Mhz with an offset equal to 20Vpp. For the price range they are great features.

The tool also includes a precision frequency meter which comes in handy in many cases.

Coupled with the Siglent oscilloscope, it can also be used to create Bode diagrams that are excellent for seeing the frequency response of filters or other signal processing circuits.

I have been using it for a long time and it is very stable, not excessively noisy fan.

The only negative note:
I would have liked to have also found a pair of BNC cables and maybe a pair of T.
