The UNI-T UT582+ is a RCD (ELCB) tester, capable of testing RCD tripping current/time and AC voltage/frequency. It checks if the residual current device (RCD) or earth-leakage circuit breaker (ELCB) is working as required by creating an earth leakage current and then measuring the resulting trip time. For testing, either the X1/2, X1 or X5 ramp is selected in the 10mA - 500mA range. Or both are automatically selected with the auto-ramp option and then the UT582+ checks if the RCD trips correctly between 40ms and 2000ms as protocols require. The resulting trip time and trip current are displayed.
The product features a 999 count LCD display with a white backlight and includes an auto-power-off function, to prevent the batteries from draining. The CAT III 600V safety level allows the product to be directly connected with most power sockets.
