The Fluke 17B+ is a compact handheld digital multimeter designed for everyday electrical troubleshooting. It measures AC/DC voltage up to 1000V and current up to 10A, and adds resistance, continuity, diode and capacitance measurements for general electronics work. In comparison to the 15B+, the 17B+ also offers frequency, relative-zero, and temperature measurement using the included type-K thermocouple.
The 4000-count display with white backlight keeps readings visible in distribution boards and poorly lit spaces. The meter is rated CAT III 600V, which makes it suitable for most residential and light industrial applications. It is built with the typical Fluke robustness and can be operated with one hand, even when wearing gloves. This multimeter uses an average-responding measurement and does not provide True-RMS measurements, so it is best suited to sinusoidal signals.
