This CCTP (Currentless Copper Tinning Preparation) is a chemical bath that applies a very thin coating of about 5-12 μm on a PCB. This coating forms an hermetically sealed layer which protects the PCB against contamination by air and moisture. The bath is prepared by solving the contents of the bottle in water, and letting the solution cool to room temperature. After cooling, the PCB can be submerged in this solution for a time between 5 minutes and a few hours, depending on the thickness of the PCB.
