Probes
The Tekbox TBPS01 near-field EMC probe set consists of 4 probes for electric- and magnetic field radiated emissions EMC pre-compliance measurements. The probes are usually connected to a spectrum analyser and function similarly to wide bandwidth antennas. The biggest probe is the most sensitive to radiation and the smallest probe is the least sensitive. The probes can also be used for RF immunity tests by radiating RF signals into possibly vulnerable sections of a circuit. Finally, the probes can be used to measure signals non-invasively. Paired with the TBHDR1 RF amplifier it is possible to measure frequencies, phase, noise and spectral components of RF signals. All the probes have their loops shielded to avoid picking up common-mode noise.

RF preamplifier
The TBHDR1 RF amplifier is a high dynamic range amplifier with a frequency range from 30kHz to 1.5GHz. The RF amplifier has a typical gain of 22dB for this range. Due to its low noise figure and high 3rd order output intercept point it is an ideal preamplifier for spectrum analysers and receivers in EMC test applications. It also performs well as an amplifier for active loop antennas.
