The Rohde & Schwarz NGA142 is part of the NGA100 series of power supplies. The linear outputs allow the power supply to operate with minimum residual ripple and noise. The channels have completely separate circuitry and are not connected to the chassis ground. This makes it easy to combine channels for bipolar connections. Moreover, both channels are electrically equivalent, with the same voltage, current and power. Therefore, the two channels act as separate power supplies and can be operated individually or simultaneously.
A special feature of this power supply is the channel fusion option. It enables the two output channels to operate in series (connected internally) or parallel (connected externally) for double voltage or current options. Important to notice is that the power supply has an excellent readback accuracy with a low-current range for demanding measurements. It has a wide current range, since the range is up to 12A in parallel mode. Finally, the power supply offers features such as data logging, arbitrary waveforms, built-in statistics and remote sensing.
There is also the NGA102Comb promotion available, which bundles the NGA142 power supply with the NGA-K103 digital I/O option, both for a reduced price.
