The Rigol MSO8064 oscilloscope is the 600MHz version in the brand new MSO8000 series from Rigol. The MSO8000 oscilloscopes are high-end mixed signal digital oscilloscopes that are designed based on the ASIC chip and the UltraVision II technical platform of Rigol. The series combines 7 independent instruments in one housing, giving the MSO8064 the following features:
The MSO8064 features specifications that reach the top of the industry, with an exceptionally high memory depth of 500 Mpts and a sample rate of 10GSa/s. 4 channels and 16 digital channels (RPL2316 logic probe is required) ensure that the MSO8000 series may be so-called "mixed signal oscilloscopes".
What really stands out is the fact that the MSO8064 is able to perform real-time eye diagram and jitter analysis. Thanks to the exceptionally good specs of the scope, these tests go with ease. Rigol released a document describing what these tests involve and how they are performed using the MSO8000 oscilloscopes. This document can be found below.
The oscilloscope is equipped with multiple interfaces, allowing it to be connected to a PC for transferring measurement results. In addition, the data can be stored on a USB memory stick via the USB port on the front.
The extremely high waveform capture rate of 600,000 wfms/s is fully appreciated on the large 10.1" touchscreen display, which also features 256-level intensity grading. By means of this technique, multiple signals are placed on top of each other to show the most common signals with more intensity.
The 8064 and 8104 can be upgraded to higher bandwidths at a later stage. If you are interested in this, please contact us.
The models in the Rigol MSO8000 series differ from each other only in the bandwidth.

The possible options:
16-channel logic probe (RPL2316) | This probe expands the scope with 16 digital channels. This probe is specially designed for the MSO8000 series. | |
Serial protocol analysis bundle | This bundle is a very complete set of extensions for the MSO8000 scopes. The bundle contains all bus trigger and analysis options available for the MSO8000 series. With this bundle you also get a 25 MHz dual-channel arbitrary waveform generator and a built-in Power analysis application.
