The Rigol MSO5204 is a 4-channel oscilloscope and the 200MHz version in the MSO5000 series from Rigol.
Thanks to the temporary free option bundle and bandwidth upgrade you get a very extensive and good oscilloscope in the 200-MHz class, which makes this product very attractive.
These oscilloscopes have a sample rate up to 8 GS/s. The MSO5000 series oscilloscopes are so-called "Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes" which means that they support both analogue and digital channels. With the PLA2216 (Logic analyzer option) it is possible to expand these
scopes with 16 digital channels with a sample rate up to 1 GSa/s. Furthermore, it is also possible to add a
serial protocol analysis bundle option to the scope. This option adds bus trigger and analysis capabilities
for example RS232, l2C and CAN decoding to the scopes. This bundle also includes a dual-channel 25 MHz waveform generator and
a built-in power analysis option. More information about these options can be found under the heading
'Options' at the bottom of this page.
The scopes in this series have a large 9" capacitive multi-touch screen with which they can be easily operated. With a sample rate up to 8 GSa/s it is possible to visualize very detailed signals with these scopes. Furthermore, it is possible to capture long continuous signals thanks to the large memory depth. With a waveform capture rate of up to 500,000 wfm/s, these oscilloscopes can be used to quickly analyze signals and to find any problem. There are also 41 waveform parameters built into these scopes with which automatic measurements can easily be made. The measurement results can be measured by means of the available interfaces or displayed on a PC, tablet or screen with HDMI input.
Optionally a 16 channel digital logic probe and serial protocol analysis option are available. These options are shown and further explained below.
When you buy an oscilloscope from the Rigol MSO5000 series you will get the Rigol MSO5000 option bundle temporary supplied free of charge for a value of up to € 613.60 (excl. VAT)! This bundle is standard delivered with the oscilloscope, so you don't have to order it separately. This bundle includes all signal decoding options for the MSO5000 models, including RS232/UART, I²C, SPI, CAN, LIN, I²S (only for the 4-channel models), FlexRay and MIL-STD-1553. Also included is a power analysis function and a function generator option.
