The Rigol MSO5102 is a 2-channel oscilloscope and the 100MHz version in the MSO5000 series from Rigol.
These oscilloscopes have a sample rate up to 8 GS/s. The MSO5000 series oscilloscopes are so-called "Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes" which means that they are
In addition to the analogue channels, also support digital channels. With the PLA2216 (Logic analyzer option) it is possible to use this

scopes with a serial protocol analysis bundle option. This option adds bus trigger and analysis capabilities
for example RS232, l2C and CAN decoding to the scopes. This bundle also includes a dual-channel 25 MHz waveform generator and
a built-in power analysis option. More information about these options can be found under the heading

The scopes in this series have a large 9" capacitive multi-touch screen with which they can be easily operated.
With a sample rate up to 8 GSa/s it is possible to visualize very detailed signals with these scopes. Furthermore, it is by
The large memory depth also makes it possible to capture long continuous signals. With a waveform capture rate of up to 500,000 wfm/s, these oscilloscopes can be used to quickly analyze signals and to

Optionally a 16 channel digital logic probe and serial protocol analysis option are available. These options are shown and further explained below.
The models in the MSO5000 series differ in the number of channels and the sample rate per channel.

This oscilloscope comes with:
The possible options:
Logic probe (PLA2216) | This probe expands the scope with 16 digital channels. This probe is specially designed for the MSO5000 series. | |
Serial protocol analysis bundle | This bundle is a very complete set of extensions for the MSO5000 scopes. The bundle contains all bus trigger and analysis options available for the MSO5000 series. With this bundle you also get a 25 MHz arbitrary waveform generator and a built-in Power analysis application. For more information you can navigate to the product page of this bundle on the right. |
