Rigol DS8204-R oscilloscope

The Rigol DS8204-R is a high-end rack-mount headless oscilloscope with 4 channels. It allows for measurement configurations requiring many channels since these oscilloscopes can be connected in parallel which is useful in e.g. the domains of research and automation.

Moreover, the scope has many advanced features packed in, including jitter analysis and advanced zone triggering at a high sample rate of up to 5 GSa/s. Its extraordinarily large memory depth allows for data acquisitions of up to 500M points. Frames can be captured at over 600k waveforms/sec and played back at 450k fps.

Furthermore, the body of the DS8204-R is 1U rack space in height, though you don't necessarily need to make use of the rack mount. On the back side, there are plenty of ways of interfacing with the scope: it provides SFP+ (10Gbps) and LAN (LXI), USB (GPIB) host/device mode, and an HDMI port. An HDMI screen, keyboard, and mouse can be plugged in, but more accessible is to make use of an external host via ethernet to access its web-based Web Control interface. Advanced users may wish to install the Ultra Sigma PC software from Rigol which allows you to hook up the scope via USB to a PC to issue automated SCPI commands and export data to various other software.
