The SDS7102E oscilloscope is part of the SDS-E series, which is a competitively priced starter-series by Owon. These quick 2-channel scopes feature an 8” TFT colour-display with a resolution of 800 by 600 pixels. With the USB connection on the backside it is possible to export measurement data to the pc. With the USB on the front the data can easily be stored on an USB stick as both a screenshot and binary data. Apart from that there is a LAN connector on the device.
In comparison to the normal SDS series these SDS-E devices lack the possibility to connect a battery to the scope. The SDS-E series have a smaller memory size, 10/100KB per channel, compared to 10MB for the Owon SDS series.
Models in the SDS-E series are mainly in bandwidth, sampling rate and memory depth. The most important differences are displayed in the table below.
Model | Bandwidth | Sampling rate | Memory (per channel) | Price |
SDS5032E | 30 MHz | 500 MS/s | 10 KB | |
