The 2 channel AG1000 function generators by Owon excel in being extremely cost efficient. With the advanced DDS technology up to 25 MHz with 125 MS/s and a 14 bits vertical resolution these devices can be used to generate signals to a high precision. The frequency resolution is 1 µHz which leads to a high accuracy. The 2 channels of this generator can be controlled independently of each other.

The function generator features a clear 3.9” 480x320 TFT colour screen. Another feature is the included frequency counter which can measure up to 200 MHz. By default the function generator can generate 45 preprogrammed common waveforms. Amongst there are for example Sine, Square, Pulse, Ramp, and Noise. Apart from that the AG1000 series generators can be connected to a PC using either USB or RS232. With the software supplied the user can write functions of their own, which can be saved in any of the 26 memory slots.


The models in the AG1000 series differ mainly in bandwidth. Apart from that the models ending in F feature modulation functions, like AM, FM, PM and FSK. The biggest differences are displayed in the table below.
