IMDES Vapour Phase IMD-DSS1

The IMDES IMD-DSS1 is a tool which is designed for use in a vapour phase soldering oven. This tool is ment to simplify the process of removing a component from a PCB safely. The IMD-DSS1 is built entirely out of aluminium and is thereby very strong and able to resist the temperatures that are reached in a soldering oven.
The tool consists of an adjustable arm which is connected to an SMD component with a strip of double-sided tape. The arm slowly pulls the component up by the help of an adjustable counterweight. In this way the component is removed easily and safe. The tension on the component can be changed by adjusting the counterweight.
