The Harogic HOA-90 is a cost effective omni directional antenna, and is suitable for spectrum monitoring, interference hunting and general RF measurements from 150MHz to 9GHz. Furthermore, this antenna receives equally well from every direction in the horizontal plane, so signals are picked up across a full 360 degrees without the antenna having to be aimed.
The wide range reaches down to 150MHz, which brings VHF broadcast and land mobile bands within reach alongside the microwave range. The passive design needs no power supply and handles up to 10W, and the SMA male connector screws straight onto a spectrum analyser or handheld receiver. Pros and cons
- Covers 360 degrees, so nothing has to be aimed
- Reaches down to 150MHz, so VHF bands stay in range
- Passive design needs no power supply
- VSWR rises below 850MHz, so the match is poor at the bottom of the range
