This Hakko FX-100 IH soldering station uses the principle of IH (High-Frequency Induction Heating), which effectively provides heat to the soldering tip. Also, because there is no heating element, calibration is not required and because the tip temperature is fixed by a physical phenomenon, there is no chance of overshoot. Another function of the FX-100 IH includes the power assist function which minimizes the temperature drop of the tip and helps the temperature recover quickly. Moreover, this Hakko soldering iron has a 'BOOST mode' which is especially useful when some extra power is needed. On the display, various information and the operation menus are shown. A graph of the output power over time of the soldering process is also displayed. Furthermore, the excellent temperature stability of the FX-100 IH makes it ideal for soldering on micro components.
Be aware: there is no soldering tip included in this product.
