Hakko B5286 protective cap

The Hakko B5286 is a protective cap for the Hakko FX-600 and FX-601 soldering irons. Once soldering is finished and the iron is unplugged, the cap screws onto the front of the iron and encloses the hot tip, keeping the tip clear of other tools and cables and reducing the risk of accidental burns while the tip cools down.

The heat-resistant phenolic plastic withstands the residual heat of a tip that has just been switched off, so the B5286 suits anyone who transports or stores an FX-600 or FX-601 between jobs, as well as anyone who simply wants to keep a cooling tip covered for extra safety on the bench.
