The GSP-9300 from GW Instek is a lightweight, compact 3 GHz spectrum analyser. The GSP-9300 is suitable for use in various applications such as measuring at Wi-Fi or smartphone networks thanks to its range of 9 kHz to 3 GHz, Furthermore, this analyser has a built-in preamplifier, resulting in a noise floor of-142 dBm/Hz.
With a sweep carried out in 307 µ s, changing signals such as Bluetooth frequency hopping or interference can be measured very accurately.
With the increasing use of FSK modulation, an analyser that can demodulate this, will certainly come in handy. The GSP-9300 offers support for this. Both ASK and FSK signals can be modulated. In addition to demodulation, Pass/Fail assessments can also be performed to determine whether the modulation meets the specifications.
In addition to the digital modulations, the 9300 can also handle analogue modulations such as AM/FM. Pass/Fail can also be assessed for this purpose.
With the included software, the measured data can easily be logged onto a computer. In addition, the spectrum analyser can be controlled remotely via both a computer and an Android device, more specifically via an app. The 9300 supports storage on a USB drive, or on a micro-SD card, with the built-in reader at the front.
