The Fluke 62 MAX infrared thermometer can measure the surface temperature in a temperature range of -30℃~500 ℃. By measuring the infrared energy radiated from the target, temperature measurements can be done without having to touch the surfaces. Moreover, the measurements of the 62 MAX have a high accuracy over the entire spectrum. The maximum Distance to Spot Size Ratio (D:S) of the thermometer is 10:1, which means that at a distance of 10 metres, the thermometer performs a measurement over a surface with a diameter of 1 metre.
Furthermore, the meter's display is equipped with a backlight, so you can also read off the screen while it is dark. The thermometer can display minimum, maximum or average values in addition to displaying the difference between two values. Measurements that are outside the temperature range of the thermometer show up as a Hi or Lo alarm on the display. Finally, the 62 MAX is a robust thermometer since it can survive a drop from a height of 3 meters. It also features an IP54 rating meaning that it is protected against limited amounts of dust and other particles in addition to water sprays.
