This power supply from EA is a microcontroller controlled digital power supply with good functionality. The power supply offers a high power output of 1500 Watt. The supplies offer flexible auto-ranging so they can either provide a high current or a high voltage within the offered power. The power supply indicates when operating in CC (constant current), or CV (constant voltage) mode. In addition, the LCD screen has 4 digits for a precise indication of the current and voltage. By using the adjusting knob it is possible to switch between fine or precise settings of the values. The settings are accurate to less than 0.2%. The power supply is able to save 5 settings and to recall them. The supplies are actively cooled because of high power.
The power supplies provide overvoltage and overcurrent protection. The current at which the power supply needs to be switched off can be set. The data can be saved by the memory function. The power supply has a button to switch the output on and off, this provides possible damage to the circuit.
The power supply is able to compensate cable losses via the sensor connectors on the front side by generating higher voltages at the output of the power supply. This makes it possible to precisely supply the circuit with the required voltages.
The power supply can be managed with a computer via the analog connector at the front side, or via one of the optional expansion modules that can be placed in the backside.
