The West Mountain Radio CBA V battery analyzer can accurately measure both voltage and current in order to determine the performance of a battery. These results will be displayed on your pc or other device that can be connected via USB to the battery analyzer. The included software has many functions such as automatic graph setup and scaling, safe test suggestion based on battery specifications and manual safe power/current/voltage settings. The battery analyzer does not use its battery to power itself but draws power via the USB port. It is also possible to perform a current discharge which is regulated via software, electronically via the solid state switch and the fan cooled electronic load of the battery analyzer. It can also be used to characterize solar cells via its solar cell profiling capability. Allows for high power, current and voltage tests of 200 W, 40 A and 55 V respectively as well as lower current testing down to 10 mA. Multiple bright LED indicators that can be visible from another room and are used for troubleshooting or stats of the battery analyzer. Remote voltage sensing and auto ranging for current and voltage is also supported. The GUI software can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website but it also possible to use the API in combination with other software as an alternative to the GUI application from the manufacturer.
The CBA V can be extended with a 500 W or 1000 W amplifier as well as more comprehensive software. For these options you can contact us, price on request.
For temperature readings we recommend the magnetic temperature probe on this page.
