Solder tweezers are desoldering tools with two heated tips in the shape of a normal tweezer, which are very useful tools in helping you to desolder and resolder SMD components on PCBs fast and easily. For instance, there are tweezer station from the brands Hakko, JBC, and Weller. These tweezer stations perform well but they are pretty expensive. But now, Atten also sells tweezer stations.

Tweezer stations

Atten GT-6150C tweezer station

The Atten GT-6150C 150W tweezer station helps you to desolder and resolder products fast and easily. This tweezer station has one channel. An Atten GT-N100 solder tweezer is provided with the tweezer station and uses active tips in the cartridge of the tweezer. A T100-0.5I cartridge is included with the tweezer station. The active tip system enables fast heating of the tweezer tips and more consistent heat transfer onto solder joints. The cartridge of the tweezer can easily be replaced by pulling out the cartridge and pushing a new cartridge back in. The tweezer tips are already perfectly aligned so no twisting and turning of the tips is needed. The temperature of the tweezer tips can be adjusted by using the arrow buttons below the display or by pushing one of the three programmable temperatures.

Video

Bas shows in this video two tweezer stations from Atten which are the Atten GT-6150C and the Atten GT-6200 and tells you why you should buy one of these tweezer stations over a tweezer station from Hakko, JBC, and Weller. The specifications are given and compared with each other. Afterwards, the advantages of these Atten tweezer stations are given compared to those of different brands such as Hakko, JBC, and Weller. Furthermore, there is shown how the cartridge of the tweezer can be replaced and how the tweezers work. Eventually, some desoldering is done with the solder tweezer and the display of the tweezer station is shown.
