GW Instek AFG-2225 function generator

The AFG-2225 from GW Instek is a 2 channel 25 MHz function generator with several good properties. For example, this function generator can generate signals with 4 points, at 10 bit vertical resolution. The 2225 offers two fully-fledged individually adjustable channels. In addition, the duty-cycle of the block wave signals can be varied from 1% to 99%. The fact that the duty-cycle is so widely adjustable is not common on function generators. The advantage of this is that in this way it is possible to generate pulse signals. In addition, the function generator has a built-in frequency counter that can measure up to 150 MHz.

The function generator offers on both channels 10Vp-p output amplitude and a 1µHz resolution. In addition, the 2225 can perform multiple modulations on the signal. The function generator can modulate AM/FM/PM/FSK/SUM.

The channels can be used not only individually, but also correlated to each other. For example, the signals can be the same, and only have one phase difference, or be each other's inverse. The possibilities are extensive.

On the 3.5" TFT screen of the AFG-2005, the waveform, frequency, amplitude, offset and other important settings can be read simultaneously. This makes the operation very easy.

The AFG-2225 has 66 different waveforms preprogrammed. But the function generator can also be connected to a computer via USB. With the supplied software arbitrary signals can be created which can then be generated on the generator. In addition, it is possible to upload CSV files on the device, and thus perform complex Math functions. These waveforms can be stored on the function generator in one of the 10 memory slots.
