The AFG-2005 by GW Instek is a 2-channel 5 MHz function generator with various excellent functionalities. For example, this DDS (Direct Digital Synthesised) function generator can generate waveforms with 4K points on a vertical resolution of 10 bit. In addition, the duty cycle of the sine, triangle or square waveforms can vary from 1% to 99%. It is not common for function generators to include a duty cycle that can be adjusted so widely.
The display of the AFG-2005 shows the following values simultaneously: waveform, frequency, amplitude, offset and other major settings. This makes it very easy to control.
The function generator can be connected to a computer via USB. Arbitrary waveforms can be created with the supplied software and can then be generated on the generator. These waveforms can be stored on the function generator in one of the 10 memory slots.
