This probe set from Beehive Electronics is designed to identify and solve electromagnetic compatibility problems. The set consists of 4 probes, three of which are suitable for measuring magnetic fields, and one is intended for electric fields.
The 100A is a probe with a ring of about 1 cm diameter at the end for easy measurement of electromagnetic disturbances. With this probe it is possible to measure in a targeted way by which components possible disturbing signals are generated.
The 100B has a much smaller ring with a diameter of about 0.38 cm. This provides a much better resolution and response to high-frequency signals than the A and C probes. However, because the ring is smaller, the sensitivity is also lower.
The 100C has the largest ring with a diameter of about 2.15 cm. This gives this probe the highest sensitivity but the worst response for high-frequency signals.
The 100D is an electric-field probe as opposed to the A/B/C models which are magnetic-field probes. This probe offers the best resolution of the 4. However, because it has no electrostatic shielding, unlike the others, this probe has no Common-Mode rejection.
The probes are calibrated up to 3 GHz but can be used for signals above 6 Ghz. In addition, they can be coupled to a function generator to be used to generate a magnetic field.
