Details

The ASA100 is an Analog Signature Analyser that uses the 'power-off testing' method to troubleshoot and diagnose all kinds of printed circuit boards on faulty or damaged components. While most oscilloscopes and multimeter measurements need the device under test to be powered by an external power source, the ASA100 uses its own AC signal to create a voltage vs current signature to allow the user to quickly locate any problems in dead or half functioning circuits. The ASA100 is also an excellent screening tool, to ensure proper functioning before the device under test is powered on.

Measurements that are displayed on the USB connected PC are very easily captured. These measurements can then be used to compare the characteristics of a known good PCB to a suspicious one. The compatible software can be found on the Electron Plus site.
